Experiencing history never felt more real.
When visiting one of Japan‘s oldest towns, Tsumago-juku, my excitement and expectations could not have been any higher. Considering the captured moment, it becomes obvious that the actual experience even outweighed my most vague dreams. A group of three elderly Japanese women keeps practicing traditional tea ceremonies in this old house (that is part of a museum now), and even the Emperor Meiji once enjoyed his tea here back in 1880.
Forever grateful for the people who keep such traditions alive.
